Who I am:
I’m a creative and collaborative marketing professional with passions for content marketing, brand advocacy, and integrated marketing campaigns that knock socks off.
What gets me going:
Storytelling. Bringing light-heartedness and humor into anything I can. When writing for work is so much fun that it hardly feels like work. The amazing feeling when everyone’s eyes light up because we’ve all just shared an “aha!” moment that we can’t wait for our audience to experience, too.
What I do:
Currently, I’m a Marketing Content & Editorial Manager at Tableau Software—a leading visual analytics platform with the most passionate community of data nerds around!
My background:
My marketing career really took off in Field Marketing for Craft Brew Alliance, where I worked with the Redhook, Widmer Brothers and Kona Brewing brands (among others) on major signature sponsorship events and regional sales, marketing and brand efforts across the state of Washington.
Before giving Field Marketing a shot, I gave brewery tours at Redhook. For a time, I simultaneously worked for LivingSocial, helping to lead locals on new adventures and gain new exposure for great local merchants and vendors.
Next, I held a role in Marketing Communications at TalentWise (cloud-based SaaS for employment screening and onboarding) where I produced content for the Human Resources audience; managed the company’s blog, a merger intranet and internal communications; and previously orchestrated the branding and sales presence at strategic partner events. Sprinkle in some social media, a handful of PowerPoint presentations and ghost-written executive articles.
Then I moved into a product marketing role at BitTitan, a company with a killer cloud migration platform and a thirst for automation. I’ve since migrated to Tableau, where I’ve fallen head-over-heels for the company’s mission and collaborative culture.
More about me:
I’m a Seattle native and lover of the Pacific Northwest. I have a BA in Music from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, which has actually allowed me great discipline and organization in my professional career.
I spend a good chunk of my free time running, drawing and doodling, playing and listening to music, adventuring on beautiful hikes, sampling delicious craft beers, and cracking all kinds of puns (yes, “dad-humor” groaners—I’m not afraid to go there). I also love semicolons and the Oxford comma.
I share a birthday with Rene Descartes and Christopher Walken.
How the heck do you say my last name?
It’s “cha-PES-key.” I’ll gladly accept anything remotely close, except “cheap whiskey,” as long as you try.
